Korean Pop famously known as K-pop is a genre of popular music originated from South Korea. It is a striking medley and highly influenced by styles from around the world, such as experimental, rock, jazz, gospel, hip hop, R&B, reggae, EDM, folk, country, and classical, on top of its very much embraced traditional Korean musical roots. With the ministry of culture and tourism continuously sponsoring promotional initiatives to promote Korean culture since the late 1990s together with the embassies and consulates, and not to mention Korea fully steaming ahead with technology, today, K-Pop has become an extremely popular genre with millions of fans worldwide.
